Biography & CV
Aseel AlYaqoub holds a Masters in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute, New York (2015) and a Bachelor of Arts from Chelsea College of Art and Design, London (2009). AlYaqoub was selected as one of the curators for the Kuwait Pavilion at Venice Architecture Biennale (2021). She was the winner of the first Art Jameel Commission in collaboration with Alia Farid (2018). She was shortlisted in collaboration with design firm Studio Toggle for an architectural competition led by the Royal Commissioners of AlUla (2019) and for the Blooom Award by Warsteiner (2016). She has exhibited at Pierogi Gallery (New York), Edge of Arabia (London), The Design Terminal (Budapest), the 24th Biennale of Humour and Satire (Gabrova). In Kuwait, her work was shown at Sultan Gallery, Contemporary Art Platform and the Museum of Modern Art.
